INDIVIDUAL HARDSHIP GRANTS
Note: At this time, The Mishpocha Charitable Fund is only providing emergency assistance grants, not individual hardship grants.
HOW MUCH ASSISTANCE CAN I RECEIVE?
The Mishpocha Charitable Fund may give an individual or household a maximum of $5,000 in any 12-month period in a single lump sum or smaller, periodic installments. Since every individual's situation is different, each grant will be different. Due to limited funds, the foundation may choose to award a partial grant instead of the full amount requested.
Examples:
An individual submits an application asking for assistance paying for a medical test (such as an MRI) that costs $800. The individual could receive a grant for up to $800.
A family submits an application for funds to help pay for daycare. The family requests $300 a month in assistance ($3,600 total). The family could receive monthly grants for up to $300.
A family submits an application for rent assistance. The family requests $450 a month in assistance. Since there is a $5,000 limit, the family could receive a monthly grant for $450 for up to 11 months (bringing the total grant to $4,950).
